Typos that hurt as we laugh OR "Don't you guys proofread?"

Dear EMSVOLUNTEER:
That would be a knee-slapper if it weren't my publication. "Prosecco with your sterilization, M'am?"
To answer your question, we do urge reporters and editors to work with care. But the truth is the volume of work we are trying to manage on two major delivery platforms -- print and digital -- with a smaller staff than we had when we only delivered a print edition has meant more errors of this sort.
Makes my teeth curl when I see them.
I have corrected the error online and appended the following:

Wrong caption in Ulster Chamber Music Series story.


Today's print version of the feature on the Ulster Chamber Music Series contains the wrong caption information with the main photo, which actually is the American String Quartet, and not the Four Nations Ensemble, as Susan Rafkind kindly pointed out.
